| Originally, I purchased Cotton Rich DK because it was described as a machine washable cotton and it was reasonably priced. It was easy to work with and the fabric that it produced, knitted on a size #5, had a very nice hand, with excellent stitch definition. Later, I discovered that it was actually a hand wash yarn. Nevertheless, I washed it in my front load machine in cold water and laid it out flat to dry. The results were great. I would recommend it to anyone who wanted to try knitting with cotton.
