Have wanted to try this yarn for years but it was too expensive. Finally purchased the Raspberry Sunset color to knit a scribble scarf. The yarn was surprisingly soft and it had a reasonable amount of embellishments, although my impression is that years ago when the yarn first came out it had more. It got me thinking about adding embellishments on my own. The yarn was easy to work with. My honest opinion on patterns using this yarn is that most of the hats / cowls don't turn out very well. I think it works very well as an accent yarn such as the scribble scarf.
This yarn is soft and the colors are strong. The long runs of color are similar to Noro yarn in fact colorway #9 that I used is very similar to a classic Kureyon colorway, but without the sophisticated complexity of that yarn. I think it is a great bargain.
I love Noro yarn and recently I have wanted to use a smaller gauge and something suited to a warmer climate. I had some Noro Silk Garden Lite in my stash and started a wrap with it and purchased the remaining yarn I needed. The colors are bright and I really enjoyed the change in the colors with each motif.
