GGH Aspen Twisted Bridges Hat and Scarf Kit - Scarf and Shawls

Taken from the Fall 2008 issue of Knitscene: "Cher Forsberg bridges separate pieces of knitting with cable twists, joinging the two halves of this wide scarf and the two halves of the narrow strips of the hat brim. With this fun technique, both projects go quickly on big needles with a squishy, bulky yarn". This project is suitable for the intermediate knitter.
Finished Measurements: Scarf is 6.5" wide and 71" long. Hat is 22" in circumference.
Gauge: 18 sts/4 inches in 1 x 1 rib, unstretched for the scarf and 12 sts/4 inches for the hat in stockinette stitch.
US size 11 needles and a set of size 11 double pointed needles are required but not included.
The kit contains sufficient yarn to comlete the project and the pattern magazine is optional!
Shown in color #06 Burgundy. The hat requires 2 skeins and the scarf requires 6 skeins.
