Taken from the Fall 2008 issue of Knitscene: "A two color slip stitch belt serves as the only closure in this loose shawl-collar cardigan. Diagonal ribs flow in opposite directions, keeping the eye intrigued, while deep fitted cuffs and slightly puffed sleeves accent the silhouette". This project is suitable for the intermediate knitter.
Finished Measurements: 33" (37", 40.5", 44.5", 48.5")
Gauge: 16.5 sts/4 inches in diagonal rib on larger needles.
US size 6 and 7 needles are required but not included.
The project does require 3 clasp closure and these are not included in the kit.
The kit contains sufficient yarn to comlete the project and the pattern magazine is optional!
Shown in color #863 Dark Red. The belt in the sample is knit in Tahki Torino, we have substituted that with Tahki Donegal Tweed in the same color scheme, #848 Cream and #850 Charcoal.
