The center of the afghan is knit back and forth. Stitches are then picked up around the center square onto a circular needles, and the remainder of the afghan is knit in the round.
The Worsted Weight version uses 1250 yds of yarn and is 40" square when finished. You'll need US 8 16", 24", 29", and 36" circular needles - not included.
The DK Weight version uses 1100 yds of yarn and is 36" square when finished. You'll need US 5 16", 24", 29", and 36" circular needles - not included.
