This is an intermediate lace project. This triangular shawl originally came from a nineteenth century pillow design, and features a leaf-like pattern. Note: Mountain Goat is significantly different than the yarn used in the book, but will make a gorgeous variegated shawl. The pattern comes out of a beautiful, recent publication called "Victorian Lace Today." Not only is it a pattern book for lace, but it doubles as a coffee table book with wonderful shots of the English countryside, as well as providing a thorough history of Victorian-era lace and lace knitters. Kit includes Yarn. Pattern Book is optional. Pattern is in Victorian Lace Today. Suggested US 8 29" or longer circular needles and Crochet hook size H not included. Gauge is 18 sts = 4".
