| I found it interesting reading the prior two comments. I didn't have the same knitting results. I bought several hanks of the Maya yarn and a pattern booklet that used this yarn in the designs. They were all leveled "easy" and reading through them and how to "place" the thick and thin sections to cast on and get my first row going...it was easy! I'm having no problems with it and actually am liking the appearance of the piece so far (vest with the back complete and just beginning the front). It's fast to knit with and since I see no imperfections...LOL...I'm assuming it's going well. ;)
Now, compared to an even texture yarn, yes, it could be a tad "uncomfortable" at first...but...relax and don't be so hard to judge your "gauge" with it as it has it's own nature. |

| I bought this a while back, tried to use it with the recommended needles, got frustrated, pulled it out, cut off the frayed yarn and shoved it to the back of my stash.
Last week I pulled it out, wanting to use it but not sure how. I grabbed my big old 17 DPN's and went to town. It was easier to work with, a lot, not as smooth as some super bulky yarn, but it still worked. I made one hat to show a friend and she asked me to make three more in the ecru. It is not the easiest yarn, but upgrade on needles size and be patient. |

| I say it was a hot mess. The color was gorgeous, but the yarn did not stay together during the knitting process and big, fluffy tufts of it detached. Maybe for some projects it would be fine, but for me? A disaster. It's the only thing I bought from JBW I didn't like. |
