... and this is even better ... it is not as thin as the label would have you believe and knits up deliciously ... the two skeins on hand should make something lovely for a baby project nice and easy ... casting on asap!

This yarn combines the best attributes of wool and cotton - it's soft, smooth, elastic, and not heavy. The colours in real life appear the same as those on my laptop monitor can't vouch for yours! they are saturated without being garish or intense. The yarn offers excellent stitch definition, so it's great for ganseys, arans, and cables, as well as for lace. I wish it were a bit less expensive, but that extra buck probably is due to the customs duty, because this is a British import. Rowan makes many patterns in this yarn, so there's good pattern support for it too.

I insist on machine wash for baby knits, and this is the perfect yarn for baby, so soft. I love the colors too.

The best of wool and cotton 4 of 6

I wanted a soft, lightweight, washable yarn for baby clothes that could be worn beyond the short wintertime where I live. This yarn fits the bill. It has some of wool's elasticity, but feels lighter and has no scratchiness. The colors are vibrant. When wet, the yarn does not bleed. Fun to knit with, easy to tink and frog. Excellent stitch definition. Wish it was a bit less costly, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Soft, sturdy, and great stitch definition 5 of 6

Many yarns with great stitch definition are hard on the hands whilst knitting and have a rough feel, even in a finished, blocked garment. This is not the case with this yarn! It's soft in the ball, soft to knit with, frogs without splitting, has great stitch definition and is so soft! Perfect for babies!

Used this for an intarsia baby blanket and will go on to make hats for my granddaughters. Lovely to hand, doesn't pill, washable, and the colors have both variety and subtlety.
