I used this yarn for a bottom up basic shell. It is great to work with. I love using Noro because of the great colors.

I will use the yarn to make the bubble bag which calls for Silk Garden and another 100% wool yarn. I have to pick just the right color wool to use with the color Silk Garden I selected.

It seems rather solely to review Noro Sil Garden yarn. So many knitters are familiar with it. Some other Noro yarns have a reputation for feeling rough until washed. Not so with Silk Garden. It has a nice feeling as you knit and has the glorious coloring Noro is famous for. Waiting to see what color will emerge next is addictive!

Wished I had started with 2 balls of this yarn before buying other colors. Had to wind one ball, it is full of slubs, very thick stretches with no twist, knots, even has foreign textures in it.... looks like weeds! The pull out but this is a little too natural for me! Also, even though I bought 2 skeins same dye color and same dye lot, the colors from one skein to another made it look like 2 different colorways. Would not buy this yarn again!

I'm a Noro fan, and Silk Garden is one of their best products. I used two colorways to create a windowpane or latticework shawl for my mother, in shades of red/pink/orange and blue/green/purple, applying pony beads at both ends for a little added weight. She loves it. It was easy to work with, as always, and the colors cannot be beat.
