Nelkin Designs Patterns - Eventide
Eventide is based on an incredibly easy 6 stitch "cross stitch" pattern. It is made by working double yarnovers that add length to your stitches so they float and appear to be woven not knitted. My inner weaver loves this! Beads are used on each end of the scarf creating an arrow of bling! The pattern includes lots of info on working with beads, including: stringing beads, purling and knitting with beads, working yarn-overs with beads, and more. Finished Measurements 10" x 64"
Nelkin Designs Patterns - Winterlude
Winterlude was designed and knit for the 2010 Winter Knitting Olympics. Worked from the bottom up with increases on each edge this triangluar shape lace shawl incorporates BOTH lace and cables on a ribbed base. As with all my designs the pattern is both charted and written out. The "really cool loopy i-cord" edging I devised for this piece can be worked with, or without, beads. Measures 60 inches across top x 24 inches deep (after blocking)
