Got the Peacock colorway and love it!

I often use Madelinetosh merino light for shawls. This was a new color for me-an olive highlightneutralto work with a multicolor stripe. Madelinetosh never disappoints.

Yarn is NOT fingering weight. The thickness of yarn in each of the four hanks I bought ranged from lace weight to a worsted. I used it thinking, initially, that occasional heavier bits might add some interest, but actually the denser yarn predominates the whole knits up to something like a DK weight garment. Probably if I were more experienced, I would have recognized this sooner and abandoned the yarn, but the fingering weight shawl that is now over half done is not at all the light and dreamy shawl I had in mind for a dancer friend.

Once again, I will say that Tosh Light is my absolute all-time favorite yarn. Oh, I buy other yarns, I knit other yarns, but this is simply the best......the best colors, subtlety, hand, wearability......and Jimmy Beans Wool is the best place to buy Tosh Light......all works together!

I never used to like wool yarn but Madelinetosh has really gotten me hooked on it. This yarn is so soft, not itchy at all like I always thought wool yarn was. Knits up beautiful and drapes really nice. Overall a great yarn to knit with for all projects.

Madelinetosh TML is probably my favorite yarn to knit with of any I have tried. The colors are amazing and the finished shawl/scarf is a thing of beauty.
