| A yummy silk and wool blend with...a twist! The silk is actually one of the plies, creating a lighter strand carried the whole way through the hank. The silk takes the dye a bit lighter than the wool, giving a swirly appearance. |

Overall Swirl DK Rating: (4.7 based on 37 reviews) |
Rating: (5 out of 5) |
| I have become a confirmed Lorna's Laces Swirl Dk knitter. This yarn knits up into the best socks. I use size US3 dpns and cast on 48 sts. I knit apx 70 rows in 2x2 rib for the leg and knit the foot in stockinet. Lightweight but very warm and soft. I love my Swirl DK socks!!! |

| This is my first time using Swirl DK. Just a bit thicker than the Shepherd Sport.I tried a pair of socks and they turned out great. Very soft and warm. A wonderful yarn! |

| That's what my non-crafting friend said when she stopped by the other day just as I was preparing to put the Vera colorway of this yarn on the swift. Actually, her first remark was: what is this stuff? Butter?
I'm happy to say that she was wrong on both counts. Through the loveliness of Lorna's Laces and jimmybeanswool.com, this yarn was available at a very reasonable price, and although it feels like butter, and this colorway looks like soft raspberry swirl fudge from Kilwin's of Mackinac Island, it knits like a million dollars. Again, the warmth of the wool with the coolness of the silk, the saturated colors that barely skim the silken fiber, and the integrity of the product itself all combine to create a knitting experience that is almost decadent. |
