This sweater pattern is knit from the top down and is very easy as long as you follow the directions explicitly. You may want to add a few more rows for the collar and cuffs than what the pattern indicates for a deeper roll.
Great Pattern! I used Lorna's Laces "Jeans" color for a baby boy. Turned out perfect even though I haven't knitted in a very long time. Look forward to making a larger one later.
Blanket B is very easy to make and looks great for a baby boy using the Lorna's Laces "Jeans" colored yarn. It took a while to find the bulky yarn though.
Knitting Pure and Simple patterns are well written and easy to follow. I have a few of them, and they are perfect for charity knitting. If you are knitting your first sweater, this is a wonderful place to start. They have a great basic sock pattern too!
I am knitting this for my 2 year-old-granddaughter out of Cascade Baby Alpaca Bulky. As with all Knitting Pure and Simple patterns, the directions are crystal clear and easy to follow and give wonderful results. Love it!
I made two of these boleros and both little girls were thrilled with their big girl style sweaters. Only giving a 4 for instructions because had trouble picking up the number of suggested stitches in the front border area. Second sweater I picked up fewer and then added 10 stitches ever other stitch in the work on the needle. This gave a nicer curve to the fronts. Hope this helps.
