 Disappointing 1 of 3

I was really looking forward to this yarn! I had anticipated that the silk would give the cotton a pleasant sheen and make it feel a little more luxurious. This is definitely not the case, however. The cotton has a cheap feel. Much more like a mass produced yarn-- think lily sugar'n'cream-- not at all like a finer pima-like cotton. It's very dry to the touch, not silky as the name intimates. The strand of yarn also seems to have a pilling issue there were definitely lots of pills in the skein I worked with, even before working it up. It does, however, have some positive points. It is pleasantly soft when worked up with a loose enough gauge--think t-shirt soft. The color was also nice, though more muted and vintage-y and not so saturated. It is not an overall TERRIBLE yarn it just doesn't meet the expectations I had for a nine-dollar yarn, ergo the single star.

Very nice lightweight yarn 2 of 3

Slightly tweedy in a sophisticated way. Knitted fabric has a great drape and wears well. 6 balls made a medium-size sweater. Perfect for lightweight layers or summer tops. The colors Stream and Soft Violet are both lovely.
