Ribbed from top to bottom, these woolly cuffs give you the look of thick cozy socks, but fit nicely into your boots. Smooth stirrups keep them seated. Worked in the round, boot cuffs are a nice, easy 'warm-up' before you tackle your first pair of socks. One size stretches to fit up to a 15" / 38cm boot top circumference. To fit boot height (excluding heel): ankle boot 6" / 15cm; short boot 11" / 28cm; tall boot 15½"/ 39cm; finished height includes 4" / 10cm fold-down cuff. as with so many things I knit, I originally intended this for myself but as I followed this simple pattern I realized it was for my daughter.this classic pattern with the self fringe is gorgeous and looks woven. both sides are exquisite.
I have never used 4 needles to knit with before and have finally given up on this. I found the video that gave further explanation that was helpful but still kept messing up. Finally gave up.
Love this pattern. I made a pair for myself and they were so comfortable. As the nights get cooler I put them on to watch tv at night. Also good for travel as your slippers.
