We love that it has the look of a delicate lace stitch but is, we kid you not, all simple single crochet. The secret is the humongous hook, which takes a little getting used to, but then it flies!
I loved making this shawl, and I enjoyed the process of choosing colors and row counts. I did use Jul Designs fasteners rather than stitching the shoulder seam. I also made my project a little larger by about 10 inches. The big surprise was my 30 year old niece modeling it at Easter when we all got together and then styling it on my 85 year old mother. It also looks great on my taller sister, but I think it looks best on ME!
