I haven't finished an entire skein yet, so I can't speak as to whether or not there could be a knot, however, this is an incredibly soft yarn--one of those that is a delight to work with. It's called worsted, but it's definitely a LIGHT worsted, so do bear that in mind. The pictures on JBW are very accurate as to color, at least for Salt & Pepper and Sea Glass, the colors I have used.
