I needed a hat with a pattern that could be considered historical from the 1800's. This pattern fit the bill. It's really easy, and because I have to make 15-19 of them... I'm teaching myself to throw Continental so it will move along quickly. What a great project to put that in motion. Cascade 220 is a perfect yarn for this project.
I bought this pattern because I wanted to make a textured berry cap that really looked like a raspberry- I was disappointed... The picture on the pattern makes it look like it has a popcorn or bobble stitch that really punches out, but that is not the case. The texture is very subtle, and frankly just looks like a mistake was made while knitting. My local yarn shop has a knit display of this hat, and I wish I had gone there before ordering the pattern on-line so I could really see what the end result would be. Otherwise, the pattern is super easy and I like the roll cap look.

I love your patterns but am having a hard time doing the heel. I have made about 6 Snowman stockings and always have to study the pattern over and over before I finally get the right way to do this heel. Would appreciate a better instruction detail.
