In this day and age of outsourcing, cutting back on overhead, and maximizing profit at the expense of customer satisfaction, your customer service shines. I have just read through your Tips section on SSK having decided to make Scarves into Throws month 3 pattern.
What a fabulous straight-forward Tip Section. I love the photos and the writing out of instructions just the way you need to think it through! I am going to use my skein of Schaefer Yarn in colour way 'Indira Ghandi'.
That would be from the order I placed only a few days ago and which has already arrived!
First though, i will wind my skein into a centre-pull ball following your directions. And he three skeins of Blue Sky organic cotton will finish off my Hemlock Ring blanket. When I find really good instructions to post photos, I will show you.

I ordered the Rowan Knitting & Crocheting Magazine on Saturday afternoon, along with another pattern. I got an order confirmation immediately, a shipping confirmation the next day and Monday, the magazine was in my mailbox, along with two peppermints. That was a super on-line experience, and I will certainly order from Jimmy Beans again. By the way, do you still have a Truckee store? My idea of heaven is to move to Truckee someday, but not if there's not an LYS.

I hope it's ok to write just to share a Jimmy Bean story. I received the beautiful new book "A Fine Fleece" by Lisa Lloyd as a gift a few weeks ago. I loved every pattern, but particularly fell in love with a sweater/jacket that called for Nashua Creative Focus. ( page 58 ) I put a "someday" post-it on the page, and made a mental note to stash some pennies away for yarn and buttons, maybe in a few months.
Last night I was checking your sale section, and there was Creative Focus for 53% off!!! I ordered it along with the beautiful Rowan filigree buttons.....and the entire project it just a little over $40.00. I am so excited!!

I find it surprising just how popular you guys are, after placing my order for 22 balls of Rowan Bamboo tape, I mentioned that I had found this great knitting store on line and wanted to share it with my 2 best friends who both told me how they order from you guys all the time. (How come they never told me about you before?)
I then had to sheepishly admit to the owner at my LYS that I had ordered from you because I was unsure about the quantity, and yes she even tells me that SHE orders from you guys all the time!!
I just wanted to write and tell you that you have pleased my entire household. I am thrilled with how quickly I received my 2 shipments and even the back order of yarn appeared in my mailbox quickly!! I am happily knitting my new "Sunburn" blanket made from my bamboo yarn.
(Get it, it will be soft on my sunburned skin this summer..)
My cat, "Rusty" is thrilled with his new blanket made from Rowan "Biggie Print" that I happily got at a GREAT sale price, and my dog, "Cesar" is happy on 2 fronts, number one that dogs proudly model yarn on your site (I think he is a bit Jealous) and he got 2 chances to bark at the mail man who hardly ever comes to our door.
My boyfriend is happy that I have a new project to distract me from the now constant stream of sporting events coming from the t.v..But he is a little miffed that I won't share my favorite part of a Jimmy Beans package, the little candies that I look forward to in every order!!

Just wanted to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU for getting my order to me so QUICKLY!!! I placed my order on Saturday Dec. 15 and received it on Monday, Dec 17. That's AMAZING since I'm in Virginia!
Also, the yarn colors were exactly how they appeared on my computer monitor. So, no color surprises! YEA!!! Trying to choose yarn over the Internet is difficult sometimes. But, your accurate color photos made it easy.
And, the yarn did NOT smell of perfume, smoke, or have other funky odors! YEA!!! Can you tell that I've received yarn from other suppliers, which reeked of nasty odors? One shop stores their yarn in a dilapidated old barn, and the yarn smells musty! Another shop must have employees that bathe in perfume, so their yarn stinks! peee-uuuu---eeee!!! Yes, I'm sensitive to perfumes & other odors. So, I'm glad I found you!

I lost a skein of wool for a sweater I've been working on. My local knit shop didn't have the yarn any more and suggested I try Jimmy Beans Wool, but warned me I would surely end up with a different dye lot.
When I ordered online I saw there was a section for comments, so I put in a request for the same dye lot. I figured it was a long shot--that probably no one would even pay any attention to the request. But you did!

I have been gathering various balls of Jaeger Matchmaker DK and Rowan Pure Wool DK from all ends of the Earth for a crocheted hexagon afghan, and my buying experience with you has been the easiest (and the fastest!), by far. Your web site is *great*, and I really appreciated the phone call about one of the colors that had been out of stock. I can't say that I've had such excellent and personal service from your "competitors" (no competition, actually!).
I ranted about my virtual yarn crawl on my blog today, so hopefully some of my (few) readers will come in your direction when they need to order something online. Knitters in Reno are lucky, indeed!
Also, and this is off-topic, I wanted to let you know that I was very happy to see "Washing Instructions" in the search criteria on the web page. I told this to the nice woman that I spoke with on the phone (sorry I don't recall your name!), but I wanted to reiterate the point here. I was looking specifically for superwash wool, and very few sites had this search option. I spent so much time looking through yarn after yarn that didn't work out!

I had a big problem when I came to your website. I had purchased the yarn I'm working with quite a while back and found myself running short. The yarn shop where I bought it no longer carries this yarn (Rowan Summer Tweed). So I began searching the online sources I knew, only to find none of them carried it, either. A search for the yarn by name led me to several sites. I must have missed yours the first time around, and I wish I hadn't!!! I tried unsuccessfully to order from one of them, only to become confused and frustrated and angry - as their site has log-on and probably security issues. When I contacted them to be sure the order hadn't gone through, their representative said she'd be happy to help me with the order and I said no, thanks!!!!
When I searched again and found your store, I found the yarn easily, placed my order with no trouble and received my order VERY quickly! So what I'm trying to say is that I'm glad I found you and I will look here first next time!!! Your site is easy to use and your service is excellent!

I would like to thank all of you in the office who have helped me with my order in the last two months or so. Your courtesy gave me the confidence to wait patiently for a yarn that needed to arrive from the manufacturer. You came through again with a positive attitude and a willingness to help when the item ordered turned out to be discontinued.
